Fish Fanatic
I haven't posted here in a long long time...I sorta lost the fish obsession. Kind of on purpose because my friends thought it was really weird that I would like tell them their goldfish can't live in the one gallon tank from Petco...
Onto the problem. About 2 years ago, I purchased a creamsicle molly. As soon as I brought her home she dropped about 40 fry. I raised them for a couple months and they grew about 3/4 of an inch long. I kept like 6 and gave the rest to the lfs and another 5 to my friend. The five I gave to my friend are...spectactular. I've never seen such beautiful mollies, ever. The male is magnificent. He has the longest fins and the healthiest looking orange/gold color. I'll get some pics if I can. The other four are females, also very pretty. and they are HUGE. 3-4 inches long. The tank she keeps them in is a 30 gallon hex. My 6 fish however, never grew. But I can't figure out why. Its a 15 gallon planted tank, and they're the only ones in it aside from a rubbernose pleco. I feed them daily, and brine shrimp onece a week or so. They might have reached an inch long, but they don't have the fins or anything that my friend's fish do. Its hard to believe they are all siblings. Mine have a sort of...unatractive gold color, with transparent black tipped fins. Can someone please help?
Her fish recently had around 60 fry,and she wants me to take them back because they look "messy" in her tank. So if I took them back, I would let them grow bigger, and take them to the lfs for store credit. But I'm afraid they won't grow..?
