Hi All,
I have very recently gotten back into one of my favorite obsessions - the home aquarium. I kept a few successful smaller-to-mid-sized tanks in the 90's, and after 2 decades was finally able to return to this hobby. I am looking for an online community to share my passion and learn from others. So, here I post.
I found a good deal on a used 125 gallon tank set-up last August on Craigs List and started stocking it in September. I thought "sure, I can handle a 125 gallon tank, it can't be much harder than the 30 gallons I kept 20 years ago..." I then proceeded to make almost every mistake I could (except the initial cycling) on the very bumpy road to where I am today. I want to tell my story, for 2 reasons. 1: I hope to help others avoid the little, problem-causing things I overlooked/ignored, and 2: I hope to learn more and get advice from some more experienced fishkeepers.
I'll save the long story for a post in a more apprpriate thread.
Cheers!
Eric
