Hello everybody,
I stopped in here a couple weeks ago to ask some questions on the Betta boards prior to picking up my own fish. I've yet to get him, but I am much more informed and my research has been fruitful.
My questions were answered with so much detail I was humbled by the outpouring of aid. Clearly this is a very close and welcoming community. I am very glad I found it!
I am 26 and a born-and-raised Torontonian, (Toronto) which is in Ontario, Canada. After the death of my Desert Iguana several years ago I have not owned any pets, but I have recently opened my home and heart to a couple really great lil'guys. I am now the proud papa of a Majove morph Ball Python, and a Crested Gecko. I take care to research the needs of whatever animal I bring home, to make sure I can provide it with over-and-above care. If I don't truly feel I can, then I don't get it. I would love a couple of sugar gliders, but due to space restrictions and the fact that my home can be quite dry, I know my home would not be ideal. Maybe in the future.
As mentioned on my post in the Betta section, I would love a colorful Betta to keep on my desktop (in a 2.5-5 gallon tank). I work at home on the computer all day, and I think it would make a great companion.
Until this point in my life all of my pets have been reptilian, as my mother had terrible allergies to anything with fur. Fortunately, she likes reptiles and I prefer them to dogs/cats. Not to knock dogs/cats, of course!
Anyway, I wanted to extend my thanks for creating FishForums.net - I am really enjoying it here!
