not much luck at New World Cichlids section so here goes,

i'm starting to take an interest into these fishes and it turns out that many of its keepers mentioned how aggressive this fish can be. most of them quote that its aggressiveness is at its peak during breeding or when defending their spawn. then my question is, would a single green terror exhibit the same level of aggression? i'm planning to keep it with my fire eels in the furture when my 180 gallon arrives.

thanks

I pressume if the fire eel is much larger the gt will not bother. But then again It might have a go at fitting it down its mouth.

yeah thats what bothers me. the last thing i want is an injured fire eel in my tank. :(

Mine was a full grown male and was quite terrirorial. He was fine with some pictus cats and an African knife fish and a senegal bichir if that helps. I think like so many fish it just comes down to the fish, try it and see :good:

you could go for a Blue Acara, indeed many confuse the two. though the Acara is , or seems to be, a much more peaceful fish. but females will not accept another breeding female of any type in the tank with them.

i'll be considering the blue acara, thanks guys. i'll try it out and see if anything happens, which i hope not. :D
