Green Terror / Blue Acara

What is the diffrence between green terror and a blue acara?

The fact they are different species.......

Green terror - Aequidens rivulatus
Blue acara - Aequidens pulcher

Growing different sizes, with different aggression levels, different colours etc.

i ment when there young, i asked my LFS to get me a blue acara but it turns out that it is a green terror

Haha I agree.... if your working an an lfs then you should know the difference between species of fish

Yeah they looks almost just alike then they're young. The way to tell is that the Blue Acara has an orange coloring on the top of their dorsal fin but NOT their tail fin. The GT has the same coloring on their dorsal AND tail fin.

Huge difference between the two though,

Blue Acara= nice and peaceful

Green Terror= exact opposite

i have 1 that has it dorsel fin orange and with a slight orange tail * carnt see the orange unless u really studdy it hard * this one is very peacfull towards my fish.

and the other just like but the orange u can see easyly, this one is very agressive towards my fish

That pic is definately a Blue Acara, GT's have a more rounded face and more distinct blue/green colouration on the head and body.

ok thanks, i shell put the acara with my otherfish now, so looks like i have to acaras.
