OK and this was Boris (oscar) a MONTH ago:

Boris has a split in his tail, just noticed tonight. My GT must have nipped him

Anyway... I thought my GT was female before but I really do think I have a male, because s/he looks so colourful in these cr££py pics, s/he's beautiful in real life. Only 2.5-3" as well...

your oscar has great markings I like it. The GT looks a little fat and sassy. haha

The GT looks like a female to me. you can't go by color body shape and sometimes temperment are good ways to sex.

Thanks. My GT is so wonderfully coloured, it seems I have a great fish whatever sex it turns out to be. Would be good if it is female
