Green Severum

bought one today, hes about 7" but is a stone colour with a black stripe and red anal fin.....

will he go green? or is it just a common name for the fish??

oh i was also told he was a male because of his long fins, however he has no markings on or around his face, its just a plain stone/brown colour...

No, they don't actually get green. They stay the color yours is. That is their natural color. I think the green is there just to distinguish it from the gold one.

ive seen some really strongly green coloured ones, depends how theyre breeding is i guess. also if you want a nicely coloured sev and you have some money to spend id get Rotkeil (german for redneck, their other common name)
heres a pic of my brothers Boss's rotkeil

they get nicer as they grow as that one is quiete small
