I have posted this before, and did not get much info, so Im trying again...... I want a male green sailfin molly!!! I have looked on line, and have had no luck finding a seller that sells to regular people, and not just pet stores. None of the stores arround here will carry them. They say there is not a want for them to order them, so I am left to buying them online. PLEASE HELP ME find someone that will sell to me!!!

I live in Midland Texas. I would pay to have them shipped in, as long as it is not out ragious!!!!

well you could take a trip over the border into mexico and go down the east coast and you should find plenty of wild fish :)

In the US, you can use Aquabid and just search their site for "sailfin". I got 2 vendors under the category of wild type just now. I know Swampriver but don't know the other guy.

Importing fish from Mexico to the US requires permits that most of us cannot obtain from the Mexican government. The fish are only a few hundred miles from Moketta in Texas but might as well be on the moon as far as being accessible to bring home. I also never see a Mexican source advertise on Aquabid so chances are that there are problems with Mexican citizens shipping fish to the US also. Even with the tough US / Canada border trade restrictions, people from both sides of that border post sales all the time and ship to each other. I have even shipped some material from the US to Canada as a gift to a fellow forum member on another forum. If that had been a commercial shipment it would have been more difficult. Shipping into the US requires each shipment be inspected at a rate that virtually prevents any small scale shipping in that direction. If you move a truckload at a time it can add very little to the cost of each part of the shipment so shippers combine orders until the inspection costs don't ruin any profit potential. After the border is crossed and the shipment inspected, the individual orders can be shipped within the US borders at fairly reasonable rates to each buyer.
