Greedy Platys

How can I stop my greedy platys eating the Oto's wafers?
I've tried feeding the platys at the same time & hiding the pieces of wafer in the wood where the Oto's like to hang out.
The platys gobble their flakes then hunt out the wafers & go into a feeding frenzy, pushing the Oto's out of the way.

Feed the wafers at night when the lights have been off a while, don't turn the lights on in the room, don't hang around the tank, just drop them in a corner and scarper. Basically don't wake up the platys!

Daren't try it tonight or I'll wake up to balloon platys, they're so greedy

They really are, I don't know where they put it.

Otos are more likely to come out and feed at night so I'm sure they'll prefer it.
