Gobsmacked! I could not believe how it she swam up to the man to be caught so easily (unless he was going to be lunch) saying that she did almost get his feed!!!. The stress that poor fish must have had during that.

I think the last Great White Shark they had kept eating the other tank members, so they had to get rid of her. The aquarium was feeding her a good diet, she just had that urge to kill...but don't we all sometimes

They tag study and re release the sharks back to the wild some are only there a short while

You say that, true however...she is a baby shark at present, was caught of the coast of southern california back at the beggining of

august 2009...she has been kept in a ocean pen down soCal, she was eating in the pen down in SoCal before moving her here...she

measure's currently 5 feet 3 inches and about 80 pounds, They had one before which they only kept 11 days as it refused to

eat...The idea behind this is to rasie awareness of this beautfiul fish and to prove there not mindless killer's....Also at same time

studying this shark and its behaviour and gathering as much info as possible before releasing it back to the wild, its like temp foster

care, you can see it has more than enough room, how bad is it really? studying gathering infomation and changing over a million plus

minds at the same time,,,,You know what its like, a surfer or bather gets attacked because its mistaken as food, so joe bloggs offers

a reward for the capture and killing of this shark, suddenly every one with a boat goes crazy and kills for example 100 sharks all

trying to get the bounty offered,,thus leaving the ocean 100 sharks less, So if these people see this fish in real life and change the

perseption i think even one mind changed is better than none,,,I have spoken with the bloke envolved a few time's and the project

sounds very good.....problem is everyone persumes the worst all the time...

If it's not permanent and only for study then i'm all for it. These creatures need to be understood and protected before they die out or are killed off by people who ae ignorant to a sharks hunting habits and behaviour.

But i have seen whale sharks in captivity and i don't like that as it is for life.
