will a guppies gravid spot dissapear completely after she drops all her fry?
Mine dropped 10 fry (that I could find) 24 hours ago but still has a good size gravid spot. She does not look fat but does not look skinny either.

My female guppies' gravid spot never disapears completely, of course they are with males so they are perpetually pregnant. Guppies also store sperm so they can have babies many times without a male even being present.

just to add to the storing of sperm. Aparently they hold up to 4 wads of sperm and whom every is the last is is the one that comes next.

I also have had a female that gave birth to around 20 and stayed large. but two weeks later she gave birth again to 30 fry. so i dont know if they can be permantly pregnant. meaning when one lot is growing another lot is also growing so giving the two/three weeks differance.

Also one thing i found strange was i have a 1 red, 1 blue 1black and 1 yellow male guppy. In the last spawn (3 weeks ago) she gave out around 50. but the amazing thing is is now it is 3 weeks later some are getting colours and around 10 are yellow and 4 are black and the rest at the moment are grey but some are like a marble effect so i cant wait to see what the end colours are. I need a Larger tank....

The spot never goes away. It may also be that she hasn't finished dropping the little guys and will continue for a little while. One act of copulation will give you kids for about 8 months, I believe, and your fish might give you kids with different parents if they've come in contact with multiple males.
