I have been convicted by reading about corys here that gravel is bad news for them. I din't know this when I set up the tank several months ago, but am considering changing over to sand now. How would I go about this? Would the fish have to be moved out of the tank and all water removed prior to the sand being put in? Any suggestions about how to approach this would be greatly appreciated.

Move fish out into a bucket, Remove gravel. Clean tank then add sand (After washing it madly) Refill slowly and wait for cloudiness to die, add fish.

i think if we got rid of all the threads about:
- should i use gravel or sand?
- how to change from gravel to sand?
- can i keep just 1 or 2 corys?
- instead of having 6 of 1 type, can i keep 6 of different types?
- omg i just got eggs, how do i look after them

there would be about 5 other posts on cory sub-forum

maybe there should be a sticky topic with all the cory FAQs?

Thanks for the info and link to previous "sand to gravel" post. I'm new to fish and this site, so didn't think to look for the topic on the site search engine. In the future I will know to do that prior to posting a common question :)
