Gravel Cleaning.

Hi,when i hoover my gravel there is lots off small sandy particles that my syphon cleaner wont pick up,it goes half way up pipe then falls down again,ive tried changing my cleaner to a better one but no joy,i do have plant substrate under 2-3 inch of small gravel,coulx it be that!

Is it possible it's the tiny little fragments of gravel (like a heavy dust) that is too heavy to make it all the way up through the vac?

I wouldnt worry unless it is visibly dirty matter or fish poo that isn't being sucked up. Wish mine didn't suck sand up when I had a sand substrate.

Cheers ppl,im thinking it could be the tetra complete substrate thats under my gravel,which is a #28### cos u have to be carefull when using vac,as long as its not some kind of parasite.

Could do with some help on my other topic if u guys dont mind,
