I'm thinking of adding some plants that resemble moss/grass. I have seen them in pictures and think it looks amazing to see a tank with it whole botton surface covered in the stuff. What i want to know is what's the stuff called, and is it expensive?

Can anyone help me please?

Hemianthus callitrichoides and Glosso Elatinoides are the mossy plants i think you are talking about

dwarf hairgrass is the grassy one. :good:

oh riccia :D

no, it's not that expensive, but imo its difficult to make it carpet.

a riccia carpet is a ton of work and requires a pretty high tech tank. (espcially if you want it to pearl like that) there's a pinned topic about it.

If you look at the pics of tanks on here... when you see something you like just send that person a message asking what it is. They will be glad to tell you and give you a little info on it too. :good:

i' am looking for something like that, I have got java moss now but it doesn't give the same effect as that plant does.

Thank you everone for your reply's.
