I'm thinking honey gouramy MAYBE

I can take some now

just to give you an idea he is more yellow than he looks in the picture and has yellow spots on the back of his anal fin.

any type of shot in mind?

sorry cant get anymore shots untill tomorrow, its getting a little stressed out.

I bought another gourami with this one, who he killed in all of 3 days. would that make it male?

It does look like a female three spot gourami, from the picture it definantly looks like a female due to it's rounded dorsal fin.

Three spots can be quite aggresive, how bigs the tank? The bigger the tank, the better, these fish need their own territory to feel secure, so plants/decorations/wood is a must.

sorry for the quality, its the best i could get with a camera phone :D

its a 3ft tank.

any clearer?

:D thx, shes the most interesting one ive got in there atm. I'm still stocking this tank

just for trivia, why is it called a three spot? is it the spots on its anal fin cos this girls got more than three.

Hi C.j :)

If the color of the picture is correct, it looks more pink than gold to me. Are you seeing any blue when it flares? If so, my guess is that it's a platinum gourami.

And if does look like it's a female. Does it have a rounded belly when viewed from above? If so, it is a female.

These can be very beautiful fish, and might well be my favorites as far as coloration goes, but they can be quite nasty as well. I had one platinum male who was so mean that I had to banish him to the goldfish tank.

A 3 spot is called that because it has 3 spots on its body. One is just in front of its tail, the second is about half way down its body and the third is its eye. It's usually the blue gouramis that show these markings though.

... the pic is bad quality :( no blue on it whatsoever. that is just shadowing. its a yellow colour with a whiter belly. cant see the two wpots on her either, i can safely say she has an eye though :p ill try and get some more pics in better focus so u can see the patterns on her.

thx 4 ur input btw
