Hi! I'm new to this and have a freshwater tank with 4 gouramis, mollies and serpa tetra's.

My question is about the gouramis. I have two gold and two spot (silver) gouramis.

One of the gold gourami's takes great delight in chashing the others. Never chases any of the mollies or tetras. It was funny at first but now one of the spot gouramis has taken to lying at the bottom of the tank in acorner after being chased like its hiding?

Am I making this up or is my gold gourami a big bully?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

You need more females with gouramis to keep down the bullying.
How many gallons is the tank.
How long do they lay on the bottom of the tank.

Hi! Thanks for answering so quickly.

Tank is 180 litres. Haven't a clue how to sex the four gouramis.

Doesn't lie down for too long. If I'm feeding for instance it comes straight up.

Thanks

You are better of with one male to three females.
They sound stressed to me, are they pale.

Ask i the gourami part of the forum they will tell you how to sex them.

male gouramis have a pointed dorsal fin. females have a rounded dorsal fin and are fatter.

as suggested, getting 3 females for every 1 male helps distribute aggression. male gouramis will fight.
