i'd suggest a male dwarf flame gourami. It has no chance of outgrowing your tank, its colourful, and as long as your tank is cycled, and you acclimatise the fish properly, you should have no problems

Honey gouramis are great, plus they don't take up much room!

I know they're not gourami but Rams are a good choice, although some people say they are boring, I don't see any difference in character between them and my honeys apart from the rams stick in pairs more.

me like dwarf flame gouramis. i have a male one, this is what they look like:

...just to make this not spam...how about sparkling gourami? they are small...colorful under good lightning...(avatar)

EDIT:
common plecs get too big for a 20 gallon...
kulis should not be kept alone
livebearers are better kept in 3s wit this ratio: 1 male : 2 female

research your fish before buying them

you still want to get ANOTHER pleco?

well you should deal with the pleco before thinkin about the gourami

Yeah, and if you are thinking, don't post it, it's just spamming.

i suggest a honey gourami, not to hard to keep and will suit your tank :kana:
