My honey gouramis are making babies
I noticed one was making a bubble nest but I didn't think anything of it because I thought they were both males! I figured he was just showing off territory or something. but today I actually caught them mating, they keep going at it!! the female is only releasing a few eggs at a time which the male collects and puts in the nest. He is very caring continualy looking after the nest and adding new bubbles to it. Im assuming the eggs/fry wont last very long with the male betta in the tank but he doesn't even seem bothered, he's just swimming around minding his own business. The male gourami keeps gulping air, going under the nest and it fizzes out of his gills.. is that normal?? Very exciting!!
