Gouramis Aggression

Is there anything that can control a gouramis aggression. I would like to get rid of my channel cats and combine my 30 Gallon Tank with my 55. Then make the 30 Salt. You could see the fish i have in my sig. Will having so many fish in my 55 control there aggression?? or will my peaceful fish become lunch?

I think because you want to add fish to an already established tank, the fish that have defined their territory already will be aggressive. What I generally do if I'm in your situation is change the scenary of your tank. Move your plants, accessories, filters, etc... to a different location, that way all the fish, not only the added ones, think they are in a new tank and thus they all have to re-establish their territories

You could be nice to your clown loach and get him some buddies, they're suppose to be kept in a group now on there own!

When i had the tiger barbs in the tank with them they would school with the clown loach but i had to take them out because they were getting picked on by the channel cats.
