Gourami Spawning

Can a opaline and gold gourami spawn. I know they are the same species but... The two are hiding and showing very dark colorations. Water quality perfect for about 3 months, fully stocked 75 gallon tank. Any help would be appreciated

Yep, same as red and yellow platies, just different colour variations.
