Gourami Red Bulg By Mouth

I noticed yesterday that my Gourami has a red bulg on the side of his moouth and is at the surface gulping air. I started treating with maracyn two. What could this be?

Have you increased aeration in the tank, as meds reduce 02 in the water.
What are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite, nitrate and ph.
The bulge does it look like a lump.
Does the bulge look like its filled with liquid.

Well I have a uv filter so I might do a 25% today.
