Gourami Out Gourami In

Last night I took my golden gourami out hoping to give him to a friend because he was attacking the female but I had to put him back in as he let me down. Will he settle with her and is this part of the love hate thing?
I dont want to get any more so do I have any other options?

Show up at your pet store with the gourami in a bag - don't expect any money in return - chances are they'll take him if you make it clear you're not leaving until they do . Seriously though, you need to find him a new home or get another tank because, fi he's showing aggression towards the female, she won't last long.

Having said that, you haven't mentioned tank size. A list of the other inhabitants and your tank's size is very useful info. It might be that you don't actualy need to remove the male to calm the situation...
