Gourami Ok?

I got a gourami from lfs, couple of days ago. Now he has been lying on bottom tank sometimes on his side. Is this normal?

Havent seen him go mad at feeding times either. Doesnt seem bothered. Tried him wiv flakes, bloodworm wafers and cucumber?


any ideas or is this normal for gourami to be shy?

Its not normal for gouramis to lie on the bottom. Are his fins up?
It could be a bacterial problem as theya re prone to it. Was he swimming around ok in the shop? If so then can you give us a rundown of the tank and its inhabitants and tests for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph.
He may well be getting used to his surroundings as well

Fins arent up no looks almost as if hes resting

levels r ok, according to lfs test before fish was transported home. Fish was ok in shop.

Have 3 mollies 1 guppy 1 cory an a sucking loach.
