A male drwarf gourami has built a large bubble nest in the tank and has been spawning with the female. However, this took place over 2 weeks ago and there do not seem to be any eggs in the nest - I suspect they were all eaten even before they had risen to the top of the water.

The question is, do I now remove the nest or leave it there? The male is still hyper protective of the nest - against other fish but specifically against the female gourami. I don't want the other fish to be stressed out for longer than they have to be.

Are there guidelines on how long I should leave the nest in place for?

thanks
jason
