Hi my male and female gourami recently spawned and ever since my male has been looking very sick. The female keeps bullying him and he often has huge fits like he isn't in control of his own body, to me unfortunately it looks like he is dying a very slow and painful death 
I don't have a spare tank or anything he can go in either, any suggestions??
An example of the fits is he looks like he's desperately trying to get away from nothing, then he will just freeze on literally a 90 degree angle then suddenly go back to normal, sink to the bottom and then a minute or 2 later he is swimming around again
