Gourami color change?

Hi. I've had many gouramis in the past and I don't think I've ever seen this. This gourami suddenly has a dark blue stripe extending down from his eye to his fin. It's the same bilaterally. Interestingly there has been a female in the tank for the last 3 days and I found a male dwarf gourami tankmate unexpectedly dead yesterday. Has anyone ever seen this?

it's just colouration and nothing to worry about.
