Gourami Breeding Help

so , my gourami has made a bubble nest ( confirmed ). im not purposely breeding , so the bubble nest is in my main tank, whit 17 other fish. the eggs havent been laid yet because in 1 or 2 hours the small fish like to destroy his nest ive been waking up for 2 weeks to find a new bubble nest every morning . is there a way i can stop this so they can lay the eggs and i'll have some gourami fry ?
