Got myself a pair of bolivian rams

I was hoping to get some German Blue rams from the LFs today and they sold me some....exept when i looked at them closley they appear to be Bolivian Rans. They have blue specks around the cheecks and one big black spot on them. I want to know how to sex them, breed them, know for certiain they are Bolivain rams, and can i get some more?

but i reckon they are the most "aggresive" dwarf cichlid bec ause i have 2 male bolivians and all they do is lip lock and sometimes peck at eachother but nothing that harms each of them at all.

`I donno....they dont have the same color, I looked at the German blues and they look more similar to them. They ahve the blue around their faces but no red on the tails...

German Blue rams are much more colorful than bolivian rams. Less agressive too IMO.

As for breeding, they are very similar. Get a breeding pair and they will spawn on a flat rock or sometimes dig through gravel to the glass and lay eggs there. The parents will guard the eggs and fry for a while and you can separate them after. Provide caves for them to establish a territory and don't overcrowd the bottom of the tank as they get very territorial.

Well, I think i have Juvinile Bolivian rams. They seem to get along with each other and follow each other around....I have not seen lip locking or anything.....should I get more and how many?

2 X Bolivian Rams
3 X Pearl Danios
2 X Melanistius Corydoras
1 X Brevirostris Corydoras
2 X Bronze Corydoras(aenus)
2 X Albino Corydoras(aenus)
1 X Albino Common Plecostomus
2 X Male Red Dwarf Gouramis

I plan to add more rainbows and some more danios and possibly more tetra(neon,glowlight, bleeding heart, or others)
