USA,
got the 55 gallon today, with filter, stand, heater hood and ligh, and of course the tank, for only $200! Which is great because of the prices of some others, like a 45 for 641.99.

Good deal! I got a new 120 gallon for 391$ My friend works there and he gave me discount for my birthday since I bought it on my birthday. Plus, it was an older model with an undergravel filter and it was the last one so they needed to move it out so it was 25% off as well. :D I love good deals on tanks.

What do you plan on putting in there?

Some tetras and rainbow fish, maybe a bigger cichlid, or a CW with goldfish. But we are leaning to tropical fish because of the heater.

Yea, you can get more variety with tropical IMO. I always wanted some cute goldfish though. :dunno: It is up to you though. I also always wanted a huge school of neons, but alas..I am getting an albino oscar and I'm afraid the school of tetras wouldn't last very long.

Good deal! I got my 33 G with all the stuff you got, except for the heater. I also got all the gravel, an Elite 802 pump and some rocks for 150. Would have gone for your deal is one was available. A 55 G is a nice size. I'm sure you'll have some fun. :D

good buy!

hope you have fun with it and post some pics now!!! :p
i have no digital camera yet. I am hoping for one for my birthday so I can post pics of my fish.

My brother does have a huge goldfish, so we might do some semi cold water, semi tropical, as he has been in a heated tank, like 72, with a few black skirt tetras. As they are coldwater tropical fish. But we are not sure yet.

I personally have no proble keeping them together, as we have for about 1 year now and there have been no problems scence, but in my tank there are definetly no goldfish!

(Well, except for lastnight as we had to move the goldfishes tank to make room for the 55 and we didnt have time to fill it up so he had to vacation in my tank, we had to take out all the plants and danios because they are so small. It was a pain getting them)

Go tropical :) I got my 2nd hand 18 US gallon with fluval 2, lid with lights for £20 :) Considering the Fluval costs £22 new on its own, I think thats good. Even if I did sit there scrubbing off all the algae.

get a pleco to get rid of the algea. I had to do that with my 29 even though it was planted.
