Got My New Aquarium Today

The only 7.5w heater i can find is the Hydor mini. It is not adjustable and i dont believe it will heat the water up high enough. There are loads of 25w heaters on fleabay starting around £7.

just make sure to follow the heaters instructions, if it sayd dont use with plastic dont, but a very small 7.5 w probaly isnt strong enough to melt it , its mostly when people use a heater much too large that they have problems, the small stick on the back wayy of the tank i think u are talking about will probally be ok,,
also try not to let the tank get cold one one side and hot on another, ie, dont put the tank up against a window, casue too much variation can crack the glass or plastic too..

Have to say I agree - I use the 25W heaters in the smaller tanks and 50 in the largest betta tank, and they all stay stable :)

I read on another thread somewhere that the water only got to around 73 degrees. There is a 15w version that goes to around 76 though.

well what is the melting point of plastic?

I know but why would I buy from EBAY if you call it Fleabay? BTW I can get those heaters at Petsmart

Awwww Squiremaster...well done, that tank looks so much better than the old one did. I bet your boy is much happier in his new home :good:
