why do you have to wait? the water isnt doing anything unless your waiting for it to come up to temp?

probably because the filter has to get used to filtering. I don't know for sure

as soon as its up to temp and you know the heater and filter a working properly you can put him in when you want, i had my tankset up with fish in withing 4 hours of getting it home. but make sure you have mature media!

another thing, if I took out a cup and a half of his 2L water every week, how much would I have to take out of his 3G water and for how long

I don't have a heater yet

another thing, right now my fish is in the 2L without a plant, can he survive until I get him in the 3G, and the filter is making a little noise in there, will it stop or is it normal.

okay, which one are you going for?
7.5 Watt

yes aslong as you keep up with the 50% water changes every 2 days
every 2 days?

well actually I just put Pebbles in there. and the tank has a filter and light. P.S I went to the LFS today looking for a heater and the lady said there that heaters melt plastic. Is this true. because I'm looking for a 7.5 watt for my aquarium. P.S.S I'll get some pics once the bubbles clear up in my Aquarium.

2 of my bettas have plastic tanks, and the heaters have not done any damage - but I always use heater guards, so maybe that's why. no melting tank and no burnt fish
