Good Sponge filter?

I need to buy a sponge filter, and I figure I should get one off the net because I doubt the lfs will have a wide varity of them. Does This one look ok? Or is there a brand that makes really good ones?

How big is the tank in gallons, and what fish do you keep.

10gal fish tank. I plan to have a betta, 2 cherry barbs, and a pictus or a couple ottos.

I not sure of that sponge filter as it's a US one, you need a good filter for a 10gal, Don't mean to sound rude but I don't think that sponge filter will be ideal, I would go for an internal filter box one.

get an aquaclear mini or something similar, it is roughly the same price when you consider the price of a sponge filter and the air pump, it will be more efficient and be a lot less noisy too!

But would it be fine, considering its made to work in tanks 2-20 gallons?

it will provide biological filtration for sure.

Mechanical filtration is limited with these filters. It will keep the water safe if you don't stock too much if that's what you want to know
