They sell snail killing chemicals but I generally prefer natural means for controlling aquarium problems. In this case, I have used clown loaches before but they started getting destructive with my plants. Another member suggested getting a yoyo loach, which I'll try.

I'm also hoping for feedback on the chemical snail control method, and whether anyone out there has used any of them successfully or not.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I wouldn't use chemicals. It should be used only as a last resort, because they can have adverse effects on fish and plants.

I can't give any personal advice because it has never happened to me before. Hope this helps!!

I would suggest Kuhli Loach, they are peaceful, they stay small, they dont produce a lot of waste, they eat snails and they are a nice addition to a tank.

They are mainly nocturnal but will come out during the day if there is a big enough group of them; they are very gorgeous and like the company of their own species.
Ive got these guys in my tank, and ive never seen a snail in there.

Good Luck with the snails
