Hi everyone. I seem to be having a problem with weird orange algae on my pebbles and sculpture. I have been told these could just be bits of food but could as well be a type of algae. I have three male guppy's in my tank and I wondered if there are any good fish/invertebrate's out there that will feed upon it well. Here is a list of my preferences:

. Borneo sucker ( What I would like most but they are temperate. The temperature of my tank is 24 C.)

. Cherry shrimp ( Do they eat algae ? )

. Zebra Nerite Snail ( Don't know much about them but have heard they are good)

Thanks

P.S My tank is a biube pure.

just too warn you DO NOT BUY ANY BOTTOM FEEDERS, i know you probly already know this but im just gonna say it again, the ceramic media will slice them up/the filter will suck them too the bottom, the shrimp will eat all of your pebble ornaments bits just as well

also the biube pure is no different to the normal biube, infact with the normal biube you can take off the black/silver bits and make it into a biube pure!

Snails would work best IMO I have some horned nerites in my arc 35 liter and they keep it fantastically clean :)

Ottos are good but are very very iffy as to how well they do in a tank so perhaps be careful if you try these.

Thanks for the helpful info. Is the oto catfish a bottom feeder because if yes it is definitely a no because of the ceramic media.

Oto will be all over your tank, he will take what ever he find to eat, is like a automatic vacuum cleaner. They like to stay sucking the glasses of the fish tank.
