We run a pretty active freshwater beginner section just down below (Your New Freshwater Tank) if you or your little boy have any questions about tank startup and maintenance. It can be a lot of fun reading the other beginner threads and a way to learn things. Don't hesitate to toss in comments or questions in them. You may also enjoy looking around the forum at the planted tank journals or other sections with pictures just for fun. Hope you enjoy your stay.

A little about myself. Well, I am a 33 year old stay at home mom, with a 6 year old little boy in kindergarten. I got bitten by the fish bug in February of last year. I ended up getting a 10 gallon tank, that was running quite smoothly for 11 months, until I decided to upgrade to a 20. I switched everyone out from the 10 to the 20, and from gravel to sand (which I LOVE now). While the process was a bit time consuming everyone is doing well!

I have 3 sterbai corydoras, a dwarf gourami, and 5 harlequin rasboras (rasboras were added in the 20).

I apparently am the only fish addicted individual in my family. My son and fiance both start to look bored when I start getting into one of my in depth discussions about stocking, bioload, etc.

My other big addiction is video games. At least the rest of my family does share that one.
