good idea for blue ram

ive read that blue rams like soft water with low ph. however here in az my water is hard and very high ph. but my local fish store is selling them. i dont know if i should get them or not, they are beautiful but seems like they arent for this type of water, but for some reason my fish store got them....

you could alter the water chemistry? if the store can, i don't see why you can;t keep them

You might want to ask the LFS for the parameters of the water they keep them in. Or better yet, a sample. If it's similar to yours, I don't see why you couldn't get them.

I have some and have high ph and hardness I just add a softener. Also Rams are supposesed to be a very fragile fish but I just do water changes every 2 weeks and they're happy aND SHOWING THEIR COLORS.
