Hi,
Does anyone know a goood filter for shell dwellers and what ph they should be at?
Thanks,
SF

What kind of shell dwellers are you talking about? Just snails, or others clams etc?
I know the pH shouldnt be much less than 7, as the acid will corrode their shells.

I'm guessing shell dwellers as in african shell dweller cichlids?

Depends what tank size? pH about 8 would be good.

A small piece of cuttlebone in the filter gives 'shell-dwellers' calcium in the water for their shells.

Although I am unsure of exactly how much to use.

Sorry guys should have made it clearer. Jayjay is correct i meant the fish shell dwelllers not the actual crustaceous type. Sorry.Lol
