My new tank is fully cycled and ready to go today (its tank no 3). Went down to my LFS to buy two ADF's for the tank, they only had two left one which had escaped into the tank next door which was housing a Snakehead, so theres good deed number one, and also brought a nice mustard gas plakat male which was being housed with neon tetras theres the second good deed, he is in a bad way he has a infection on his eye and his fins are quite closed up does anyone have any recommendations for what would be best to treat him with. Will post a picture shortly as i cant think of a name for him.

Post in the emergencies section and they will be able to help you with a diagnosis and meds, normallly i would be able to help but my head just isn't in the right place today

Well done for all the good deeds :good:

i always rely on myxazin now
I'm even adding it to the tank whenever i buy a new fish just to be on the safe side

i got a 500ml 2x concentrate bottle from ebay for under £10 posted

Will give the myxazin a try, he has cheered up in the last ten minutes or so he is swimming about a bit now and no longer has the stress lines which is a good sign. will look to get the myxazin as soon as, and will post pictures shortly of him and my females and my other male.

He is a lot better today swimming around a lot more and has even eating some bloodworm, wont touch the Betta bio-gold as probably hasnt seen it before, I am moving him to a quarenteen tank today to medicate him.

Well done on your good deeds! As to the name - can't help it but the blue and gold/mustard color look dignified and royal to me. Like the old style velvet clothing of emperors. Don't know if you'll like it, but I would go with something like Charles or Henry.

Or famous Roman dude: :flex:

Marius - The great Man of the Army
Gaius Marius was the man who organized the army into the most effective fighting machine on earth. At times it appeared nothing could withstand the mighty legions of Rome. It was Marius who changed the way the army organized itself. Men from the provinces could now sign up to serve in the Roman army, and in time become Roman citizens themselves. So too was it Marius who granted land to the veterans of the legions in reward for their services.
He also won some famous battles with his new army, most famous of all the Aquae Sextiae and Campi Raudii, where his victories saved Italy and Rome from an invasion of barbarians from the north.

Or famous Siamese king (if you like foreign names)...

Endless possibilities... :dunno:
