I'm not sure if even dwarf cichlids could be kept in a 10g. I don't think even Kribs would be ok in a 10g either. I would say either look for different fish, or get a bigger tank!!

You could have African Shell Dwelling Cichlids in it.
I don't agree, these can be very aggressive and should have a bigger tank, even though they are little fish.

I am not sure about a pair of rams either, sounds like a bit much in that size tank although I know people have had it work.

I would say that there really aren't any new world cichlids that are suitible for a 10 gallon tank a few fry might be okay in there as a grow out tank but in the end a bigger tank is going to be needed

Nope have to agree with david i think it was a pair of rams could easily be kept in ten gallon and who knows maybe u get lucky and have a spawning pair :) !!!

you could easily keep a pair of dwarf cichlids in there

A pair of rams need a 20 gallon tank, 10 gallons each. Having kept cichlids most of my fish keeping days I can honestly say that no cichlid needs to be in a 10 gallon tank. Because of aggression and the amount of waste produced by some of them you need a larger tank than 10 gallons. I still say you need to stick with the smaller schooling fish such as neon tetras or you will be just asking for trouble. :)
Rams are quite small and produce very little waste. My LFS has about 3 of them in one of their 12 gallon display tanks, along with and assortment of endlers livebearers. The rams are very healthy, and I trust their judgement because of their level of fish expertise, which I have tested time and again.

go there. they are a bit crowded with some things. but yes you can keep shellies in a 10.
so many people do it.
wrs I noticed that article suggests to put a bristlenose plec in a 10 gallon... definitely a big no-no.

if you could find a pair of blue german rams to put in there it would be PLENTY of space for them 10 gal. to a ram is very inaccurate
