Gone!

i havent seen my 2 female bettas for about 3 days, normaly they are quite active, but seems strange they hve both gone in to hiding...or worse
any ideas!?

Hmmm... Well first do you have a lid on your tank???Bettas jump.
second, look in your tank. Look EVERYWHERE in the tank.
Do you have a cat or anything?

Some suggestions, as above they might jump and they can jump very far, start searching if quick and not out too long they can still be alive depending when jumped.

May just be very well hidden, have a second more calm look.

What filter do you have, turn off and have a look inside, have read on here how some have gotten caught inside the filter and some have still been alive!

Otherwise be patient and wait or (personally) have little route around in the tank as dead fish will raise ammonia levels.

Lastly any ornaments with holes in etc they could get stuck in? My friends got inside a tree trunk ornament through a small gap she thought couldn't fit and they ended up breaking the stump to get the fish out (still alive and kicking!) she acted quick.

Fingers crossed they are just hidden for you.

right i found them but they are just sitting on the bottom of thr tank not doing any thing! al the other fish are fine

how are nitrates looking, that can affect them too if up. What other fish are in there? How long have they been in there? Have you tried feeding them and are they eating? Also are they their normal colour or do they have stress stripes?

i heard once that someone found some bettas in a filter... have you checked their. maybe moved somethings aroud to find them ?
