P.S Plants will be delivered some time this week.

Beautiful tank set-up! I'm wondering where you got the driftwood... I put a piece in my boy's tank, and by the next day the water turned yellow and when I checked the ammonia, it had spiked to a toxic level!

I look forward to more pictures from you!

Thankyou, will look better when the plants are in but i'm adding ammonia for the cycling at the minute and it ruined the plants in ghengis's tank.
I got the driftwood from our local aquatics shop. about £6 a piece i think. Gave it a good scrubbing and soaked over night before putting it in, seems to be fine. time will tell though and i won't be putting any Betta's in till its well and truly ready.

nice job on the dividers, i did that recently to my betta tank too. only your silicone job is way better.

decor looks nice too

That is just a gorgeous betta tank..... your fish will be the envy of the neighborhood.

I was curious about your dividers. Doesn't seem like much water flow will get through them, although they'll be perfect for keeping the fish separated. Where will the filter and heater go in this tank?

I'm jealous, you really did such a great job on this. :good:

Thankyou,
The heater is in the top left corner of the middle section you can just see it.
The filter is external tetratec and runs right across the top. i've added extra hose so that i get even distribution in all 3 sections.
Loads of holes have been drilled into the perspex and i've tested the water in each section and am getting the same results and the same temperature throughtout. Seems to be working out well at the minute so fingers crossed i got it right first time.

Thanks but it was more by luck than judgment. Had a nightmare cutting the perspex, got to the end of the sheet with the jigsaw and it had re-sealed itself all the way along with the heat.
Hey i'm blonde, that my excuse and i'm sticking to it

Very nice set up. This might be a really silly question, but what will the Bettas do with the pots?

Ghengis uses his as a little hidey hole. Can often be found in there chilling out.

nice plants and i like the little ceramic pots in there for their hiding places, if they use that.

great job!
