I usually buy my declhlorinator from my lfs for £4.49 I went to my local supermarket today and they sold a product which looks exactly the same but says its for goldfish. Better still its £2.29 for the same size tub. Is this the same stuff? It is the same make and all the writing on the pack says exactly the same thing. Can i use this in my tropical tank?

If i remember correctly it will do the same job as ordinary dechlorinator but it is a weaker sollution so you will need to use more.

So long as it is a dechlorinator and at least contains sodium thiosulphate then it is fine. You can get the sodium thiosulphate as a crystal. Most aquarium based dechlors are extremely weak, always look into pond dechlors, or seachem prime.

It says on the bottle to use the same amount per litre as my other one so i'm guessing thats fine. Bit of money saved!!
