Hi all. I'm new here and was hoping I could get some help. I have two Goldfish. One of them is definitely sick, but I have no idea of what is wrong. There are no spots and nothing that shows what is wrong, but I have noticed that she isn't swimming around like she had before. There is definitely something wrong. :( I've never given fish medicine, and I was wondering if I could put fish mox in the tank with the hopes it will help her and not affect the other fish. I have them in a 20 gallon tank. The other fish appears to be fine, and hopefully will remain fine. I'd sure like to try to save her! Any suggestions are appreciated!!

Can you give us a little more to go on Carol..... are there any reddish streaks in the rays of the fins..... is the body (even slightly) more slimy than normal....... Are the fins folded......... does she/he still eat well??... when it does swim.... is it even motion or are there any signs of imballance??

Hi. Thank you for responding so quickly!! No, there aren't any reddish streaks on her fins or body and her fins aren't folded. I have noticed that her color is not as bright orange as it was, and no, she isn't eating welll, and tries to stay in one place, until the other fish swims by her and she has no choice but to move. I don't see signs of inbalance. The two fish used to swim together. Now she is staying on one side and not eating well, so I'm sure there is a problem. I don't know about 'slimey,' because i've never touched her and was told not to, but appearance wise, she doesn't look slimey. Only that her color has changed and she's not behaving her normal self. Her color has faded. I wish I could give a better description, but other than her not behaving, or eating like she was, I don't know what's wrong.
:( Again, thank you!!!
