Goldfish eating guppies

Hi. I have a 55 gallon w/goldfish, and I just love them! But today, I actually have a question about my friend.

She has a pond outside, and a 20 gallon w/guppies inside. She gets too many baby guppies and has been feeding them to her golfish in the pond. Is this bad for the goldfish???

I was really curious, but didn't want o offend her by asking.

Its not really bad as long as they don't carry any diseases or parasties. But I don't agree with feeding live fish if it can be avoided.
