Why do my Malawi's always itch against the rocks, nothing else does it, i used to only have one before ive had him for about 2 years now but he's always itched, so introduced another one to the collection who was fine for a day and now has started to do it, but none of the other fish do it, ive tried lots of techniques on the adjusting the water but they still do it, any ideas please?

This is the wrong section as Malawi's are African Cichlids but what you describe is called "flashing" and is perfectly normal. It is normally a sign of aggression or claiming territory but it can also simply be showing off as part of a mating ritual.

ooops sorry think i was having a funny 5mins my bad, oh okay well aslong as its nothing to worry about thanks :)

it also can mean thats the water quaility is bad. and makes them itch thats why they rub. usually its territorial though.
