I have 4 in a 35g all to themselves. They are all doing very well but I don't think I have ever seen so much waste produced by just 4 fish in my life!
I don't give them enormous amounts of food. And yet every morning the substrate is literally covered in poop!
Presently it means I do a small w/c daily just to get rid of it but there are times when I'm gone for 48 hours.
Is there an easier way to get rid of the poop rather than doing a daily change? The substrate is sand so it does make it show more.
Any suggestions? :dunno:
Hugs,
P.

Adding a protected power head, directed towards the substrate may move it towards the filter intake. Other wise, no, i cant think of anything else... :) When fish go, they go...

Would trumpet snails help? Or any other fish? Obviously these get to a reasonable size themselves and I don't enything becoming a tasty snack. I don't expect anything to be eating the poop of course just maybe something that'll shift the substrate around a bit daily rather than me disturbing them with hoovering and my hands.
