Gold-Snail!

I hope this is the right Forum! I got a "Gold-snail"- I think thats what she's called- well she has a golden house! What are my chances that she'll actually eat algea and other stuff she's supposed to- and NOT my Anacharisplant in the Aquarium! She's liking that one way to much!!!!!

I wouldn't swear to it but try putting cucumber, lettuce and other veg in the tank, he should prefere that to your plant, good luck

I believe you have a gold apple snail.


If this is the case then they will eat all kinds of things. I have several snails that I keep in my bare bottom fry tanks. They eat all the left over food, I also break up algae waffers and drop in there for them once in a while. I use sinking shrimp pellets as well, they seem to love them. I don't believe tehy are very picky eaters, well mine isn't anyhow. He'll spend almost the entire day eating.
