How big does feeder goldfish get? I bought some for my fish but, i decided to save 5 of them on my other small tank. They are bout 1.5 inches now. Are they going to grow any bigger then that? lol?

I think common goldfish get upto 15", but I'm probably wrong

expect them to grow at least 12 inches if properly cared for, they are better suited to a pond than a tank

Problem is...practicably in a small tank they wont reach anywhere near that size, they will basically be stunted, and live a much, much shorter life due to kidney failure.

I would advise against the use of goldfish as feeders due to the reasons outlined in the following topic: feeder goldfish.

To be safe and humane, I'd either rehome them or buy a pond or much larger tank lol .

Well they are in a small tank right now. But, i want them to grow fast b/c i have a baby oscar on my 90G (+ 2other fish). So i got 2 other goldfish who are bigger then the O (on the 90g). Once the little goldfish grow a little bit i can put them on the 90G. lol... that is why

I know the O will eat them eventually =\

I said that i want them to grow fast so i can put them on the 9Gal once they get a little big. So the oscar doesnt eat them. that is until the oscar grows big.
