Getting back into fish after about 30 year absence. I bought a Aqueon 36 gallon glass bow front aquarium. handled very carefully from the time it came off the pet stores shelf. I start getting everything ready and take out of the box and start cleaning it out. I notice in all four corners of the bottom have a little excess glue and as I'm cleaning the glue I notice small lines emitting from the corners on the bottom ranging in length from 1" to 2.5 inches. They look like small cracks but my kids say it is glue strings like angel hair. I can't feel any roughness nor can my kids but they still say it is glue residue. the corners were well protected in the box with thick paper wedges. is this normal on the bottom? anyone else experience this? suggestions.

To be honest, a picture would speak a thousand words if you can get us one.

The title of this post threw me off a little until i clicked!!   personally I am a glue man myself..  LOL

Back to seriousness though, if it is glue residue is should come off with a little bit of nail polish remover on a paper towel, otherwise it may be a crack.   A magnifying glass would be a helpful thing to have in this situation, the human eye can only see so closely!!

Agree, a picture would be the most helpful in this situation.

Thanks ech0o' I got out the magnifying glass and a coffee filter to scrub with and indeed it was glue.
