... I have several species in this tank.

But look at the picture of one of my glowlights. Its HUGE!!!!!

It started bulging a few weeks back, I just assumed it may have been constipated so I cut back on the usual feeding and fed them a few deshelled peas as per recommended advice.

None of my other fish in this tank are like this, including my other 6 glowlights.
The fish in question still swims/eats fine, it even rules the roost with the other glowlights and chases them. The fish doesn't look like it is pineconing as its scales are lying flush against its body.

Do Tetras suffer from being egg-bound? Anybody, any advice?

COME ON, THIS FISH IS GONNA BLOW!!!!!!

(Sorry about the not-so-decent quality of the pic - best I could get!)

Thanks for the reply, Wilder.

Its poo is what I consider normal and similar to all the other fish in the tank. Not stringy or white.

I will isolate the fat b#####d and see how he gets along with some salts and med.

That good then as long stringy white poo can mean constipation, bacterial infection, internal parasites.
Good Luck.

Bumpety Bump!

Ok, so its been close to two weeks now since I put my fat glowlight into isolation with some salts and med... but nothing has changed. S/he is still a fatty! Although she hasn't got any bigger, she certainly hasn't got any smaller. I've even reduced the feeding she gets.

So, what next? Is she just a bit of a porker? Shall I introduce her back into my main community tank??
